How we're different
In a word, it's our people. Any project is the sum of countless decisions. For us, the decision tree is rooted in best practices and proven materials mandated by our oversight body, and supported by a network of information sources--experience built up over long history in the industry, information-sharing within the team, and comprehensive, ongoing, in-depth training for every technician give us a depth of knowledge, diversity, and versatility unmatched in the business. The result is a cohesive, growth-motivated team with the ability to take on the most cutting-edge challenges without losing its balance.
Why we're different
It's our culture. We've been doing this job a long time, and we respect the lessons that history has taught us. In an ever-changing world, we are constantly learning and evolving, but we take every step forward with history in our back pocket. The result is steady, predictable evolution that makes room for the highest standard of production and safety, and a reputation for getting the job done right the first time, on budget and on schedule--whether it's a roof we've done a million times or one that's never been done before.
You don't want to leave your project to chance. There's too much to lose under it. Western Roofing does dependable.
Indigenous Engagement
The foundational values of Western Roofing’s approach to Indigenous Engagement and Inclusion are equality and fairness. We understand that our company and our Indigenous partners possess differing individual strengths but that together we are stronger as a partnered whole. Upon these foundational values, we have constructed a fourpillar approach to engagement and inclusion.
1. Proactive Engagement – We will engage positively and proactively.
2. Economic Benefit –We will ensure that as our company benefits economically from a project our Indigenous partners do as well.
3. Education, Training and Employment – In all opportunity we will make every effort to employ partner members. Our commitment to this is evidence by our ongoing contribution to the First Nations Capacity Fund.
4. Capacity Growth – we are committed to strengthening each Indigenous community by way of member and business development.
To further our commitment to Indigenous communities and to ensure we are acknowledging and understanding the strengths of our Indigenous partners, Western Roofing has retained the services of Leonard Jackson and Derek Orr of The Reach Group. Together we will plan and implement engagement and inclusion strategies in the Territories where we work. Our goal is to be working in partnership with local Indigenous communities on all projects, taking into consideration the concerns and directions of our Indigenous partners.
